Another lockdown is not the start to 2021 that we all hoped for but, as has been the case for Cresco Innovation throughout the coronavirus pandemic, it is business as usual for us.
We will continue to deliver our services to the highest possible standard, while ensuring the health and wellbeing of our colleagues and customers is in no way compromised or put at risk.
Our staff will continue to work remotely, meaning that, although our head office in Loughborough is closed, all lines of communication remain open. If you need to get hold of us, we are here at the end of the phone or via email.
Funding competitions remain open, and we are committed to working on behalf of our clients on any current or potentially new competitions.
Funding for your business or project is available and, in these continuing uncertain times, could prove highly beneficial to you. We urge you to have a look at the list of competitions that are currently open, or are opening soon, that could be of valuable help to your business.
Horizon Europe: UK will still participate
There is also some positive news. As you will know, the United Kingdom officially left the EU on January 31, 2020. However, the Brexit withdrawal agreement stated that the UK will still participate in Horizon Europe, although final details are still being worked out.
Now that the UK has left the EU, the UK government has, according to UKRI, announced that “the UK will associate to Horizon Europe, the EU research and innovation programme that will run from 2021 to 2027”. This will give “UK scientists, researchers and businesses access to funding under the programme on equivalent terms as organisations in EU countries”.
You can also continue to participate in Horizon 2020 programmes and receive EU grant funding for the lifetime of individual projects. This includes:
- Projects finishing after 1 January 2021
- Horizon 2020 Green Deal opportunities for projects relating to climate action – bids will be accepted until the deadline of January 26, 2021
There is much more information on Horizon Europe and working on other EU-funded projects at the UKRI website here.
